OR Coordinator Job Opening in North Carolina

OR Coordinator job opening located in a midsized hospital in the Raleigh, North Carolina area.

The Clinical Coordinator, RN is responsible for the coordination of departmental clinical operations, up to and including scrubbing and circulating cases in assigned service line.  In conjunction with the hospital schedulers, coordinates surgery scheduling to facilitate timely patient flow throughout the department.  When in charge nurse role in surgery, delegates patient care to appropriate personnel by making assignments based on needs, abilities, and expertise.  The Clinical Coordinator, RN will also serve as departmental resource and liaison for clinical information technology systems.  This includes providing departmental training, building physician resource maps, assisting with department and system-wide information system initiatives, and collecting and analyzing necessary statistical data for the department.

The position requires at least 3 years of OR nursing experience.  The Clinical Coordinator work involves the coordination of departmental clinical operations, up to and including scrubbing and circulating cases in each assigned service line. They work with the schedulers in coordinating the surgery scheduling to ensure timely patient flow throughout the department. They must be able to function in a charge nurse role during surgical procedures if needed.  They also serve as the department’s resource and liaison for the surgical staff as well as surgeons 

Experience Requirements:
3 Years Nursing – Related Area Required – And 3 Years Clinical – Surgical Services Preferred

Education Required:
Graduate Nursing Required – Or College Courses Nursing Required – With Required Licensure/Certification – And Bachelor’s Degree Nursing Preferred

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Registered Nurse Required – And National Certification in Nursing Preferred
