Job Opening for an ER Director located in West Virginia.
Client is 327-bed, not-for-profit, acute care facility. We provide a broad range of services, offering the latest in medical technology and a highly trained staff. As the community’s hospital for more than a century, hospital maintains a leadership role as the region’s primary source for advanced health care and wellness programs and has earned accreditation from The Joint Commission.
The director is accountable and responsible for the leadership and management of the assigned services on a 24-hour basis. The director translates the objectives, plans, policies and procedures of the hospital and nursing service department into effective actions to ensure quality patient care and manages the human and material resources of the unit to provide cost effective care.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) We are an EPIC (EMR) facility.
- Bachelor’s degree required,
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Five years nursing experience with at least two years in a management or administrative position.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc.):
- BLS or ability to obtain with 30 days of hire
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/department:
- 40 bed department
