Pharmacy Director Job Opening in Washington State

Job Opening in a 200 bed hospital located about 1 hr from Olympia, Washington, is looking for a Pharmacy Director to join their team.

Job Summary:

• Supervision of 13 employees in the areas of acute care and IV therapy.
• Will have 24 hour accountability for all areas of the budget, policy and program development and implementation.
• Involvement with the medical staff as related to both the functioning of the department and participation on the medical staff committees.
• This position is a working manager position with time spent providing assistance to staff if required by staffing levels.
• Covered by union bargaining agreements
• Reports to CNO
• EMR – Meditech
• Dispensing – Pixis
• Do compounding for i/v’s

Job Requirements:

• Current WA license;
• Pharm D degree preferred; will consider Bachelor degree;
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience.
• Excellent and effective interpersonal communication skills required.
• Experience working in a unionized setting is preferred.
• Excellent leadership capability must be demonstrated in previous employment.
• This position is a working manager position with time spent providing assistance to staff if required by staffing levels.

The hospital is located on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula of Washington State, twenty miles from the Pacific Ocean. Close to numerous recreational and cultural activities, we enjoy a moderate marine climate with dry, warm summers and mild winters.
