Inpatient Social Worker Job Opening in Wyoming

Job opening in a small rural hospital located in Central Wyoming, about 3 hours from Jackson, Wyoming, for an Inpatient Social Worker to join their team.  Candidates must be LCSW certified.

Job Description:
The Inpatient Licensed Social Worker at the hospital plans, organizes and implements social work services to patients and families. Coordinates social services activities in discharge planning as required. Maintains contact with referring agencies and related people, and with community resources used for referral. Develops bio-psychosocial treatment plans and delivers individual, group and family psychotherapy. Participates in the inpatient LSCW call rotation.
  • This is typically a Monday through Friday position but can require 1 or 2 weekends per month depending on staffing and volume.
  • We do need someone with experience in group, family and individual therapy.
  • Experience with native American populations ideal.
  • Unit capacity is 13 – we are currently capped at 8 due to staffing limits – we are adult only
  • Average daily census is currently 7
  • Average length of stay is 17 days
  • 90% are involuntary stays
Job Requirements:
  • Must have current LSCW license from Wyoming
  • Prefer minimum of 2 years experience in social casework in a health care facility
  • Must have your Master’s Degree in Social Work
  • Administrative and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of state and local mental health resources
  • Able to establish and maintain appropriate relationships with co-workers, mental health and other human services professionals
