A small rural hospital located in Central WY, about 3 hours from Jackson, WY, has a need for a Med Tech or Med Lab Tech to join their team. We have 1 Day shift and 1 night shift available.
Under the supervision of the System Director of Laboratory Services, performs phlebotomy and clinical tests in the areas of hematology, urinalysis, general clinical microscopy, blood banking, serology, bacteriology, coagulation, chemistry, arterial blood gasses, and special chemistry to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Qualifications
- Registered with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) and/or CLS Registry with National Certification Agency for Medical Laboratory Personnel, Inc. (NCA) or HEW Certification
- Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Knowledge (through training) or experience in performing laboratory activities for pediatric patients age 0-17, adult patients ages 18-64, and geriatric patients ages 65+
- Ability to communicate and comprehend accurately and effectively in spoken and written English
- Able to withstand the stresses & demands of an active position as listed in the Physical Demands Section
- Math skills required
- Working knowledge of computers
- All techs must be proficient in phlebotomy and a minimum of 1 year work experience in hospital setting

Our lab techs have strong support from the pathologists.
Currently perform about 90,000 tests per year,

Night differential l $1/hr – 3pm – 11 pm $2/hr 11pm – 7am
