This small critical access hospital in the Puget Sound area of WA has a need for an experienced CNO to join their team.  Candidates ABSOLUTELY MUST have at least 5 years of experience as a CNO already to be considered!!!

The Chief Nursing Officer will provide leadership and mentoring to nursing and clinical staff in the following areas:  Medical/Surgical, CCU, Family Birthplace, Emergency Department, Medical Ambulatory Care (MAC), Rehabilitation Services, Clinical Education, Care Management, Respiratory Care and Pharmacy. The CNO will also provide guidance and support to the nursing leadership in Surgical Services. This individual holds a key position on the Executive Team and in partnership with the CEO, CFO, CHRO and other executive leaders will define the future of the hospital. This individual is decisive, a risk-taker, collaborative, open-minded, team-focused, wholly in support of the hospital’s vision and fully invested in the success of the staff and organization within our community.  A qualified CNO will demonstrate the ability to support and further a patient-centered care culture and provide caring and decisive leadership to their management team. The CNO should have an understanding of value based purchasing and hospital payment reform. This individual is an expert in the use of data and outcome measures to enhance patient care and to improve the health of our community.

Required education and previous experience: 

Ten years of progressively responsible nursing leadership positions with AT LEAST 5 years as a Chief Nursing Officer.  This is not negotiable.

Must possess an understanding of critical access hospital operations and have experience providing community based healthcare in a rural setting.

WA State RN License, MSN required.
