A respected independent hospital in a charming coastal community in beautiful downeast Maine. The hospital is finding with all of their new implementations this year in the accounting department and changing their EMR to Cerner that they need someone to manager the Revenue Cycle and are looking for a Director level candidate to fill this position.

The Director of Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all revenue cycle activities with a goal of maximizing reimbursement in a cost-effective manner that is in compliance with federal, state and payer-specific billing requirements.

The Director will oversee the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of the healthcare facilities’ revenue cycle activities to optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum.

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Accounting, Finance or related field and three years of management-level experience in hospital revenue cycle with expertise in billing and collection. Thorough knowledge of patient financial services (PFS) processes and standards related to billing, collections, and cash posting. General knowledge of patient registration, finance, and data processing. Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to patient accounting, including a solid understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and managed care processes.
