Assistant Vice President Cancer Services job opening located in the Pacific Northwest.

We are looking for an Operations Executive for Cancer Center for hospital system. Center has 8000 new diagnostic cases per year.  This is one of the top regional programs in the country. In strong collaboration with the Executive Medical Director of the cancer center, this strategic leader is responsible for the leadership and management of the cancer program through the development and implementation of management and patient care systems to assure cost effective, high quality, coordinated, patient focused care. The AVP builds relationships resulting in compassionate and committed teams within the cancer center and stakeholders and with respect to system core values. The position is an integral part of the Leadership team of the cancer center and within the system. 

The AVP will collaborate with other leaders to achieve outcomes for the whole organization and make decisions effecting strategy, implementation and management of resources in addition to the following functions: Transform Delivery of Clinical Care; Create Enduring Alignment with Physicians, Researchers, and Clinicians; Create internal and external provider alignment strategies that strengthen seamless and innovative care delivery, in hopes of achieving the Quadruple Aim: Improved Quality, Affordability, and Customer Experience; Thrive Under New Reimbursement Models – Collaborate with Finance and Managed Care to develop program strategies and partners; Enhance Access By Improving Affordability by providing value-based care across the continuum and reducing overall administrative and care delivery expenses; Grow to Meet Community Needs – Create and implement strategies to serve more people throughout the cancer care continuum of care via appropriate growth and development of program services in existing and new markets. 

We are looking for someone that has led operations for a cancer program that is well respected. Master’s Degree. Ten years of progressive management experience in healthcare, preferably with in-depth knowledge specific to clinical program areas across the continuum. Experience in an innovative, multi-site regionally integrated health system. Physician and medical group alignment and integration experience. Significant experience in leading teams, group facilitation, project management, and building management systems. They have interviewed candidates from programs as small as 1500 annual cases and are actively searching for the right person.
