Director of PACU and GI Services job opening located in Southern California.
We are working directly with a nonprofit health system in Los Angeles County on the boarder of LA and Orange County.
The Clinical Director is responsible for the department’s continuous, effective operation and for the continuous improvement of its activities. A clear vision for the department working in concert with the strategic goal of the hospital is necessary. An unwavering focus on the customer/patient, a constant emphasis on superior performance and value added strategies, and a steadfast philosophy for the self-directed actions and staff ownership all characterize the qualities needed for this position.
This Director will have direct oversight of approximately 50 FTEs (mix of RN, LVNs, GI techs, CNA) including 1 Assistant Clinical Director, 1 educator and 3 supervisor/charge nurses. Responsibility over pre-op all surgery, cath lab, 3 GI suites, IR, cardiology patients (200-250 monthly). They have a 28 bed pre and post op beds, pre admission testing, outpatient blood transfusion-expanding to non-chemo infusions.
Ideal Candidate will have CA RN license, 5 years PACU, Pre-op, ICU or GI Lab exp, Master’s Degree in Nursing or similar field, minimum 2 years supervisor/management exp.
Preferred: ASPAN or CAPA certification.
