Director of Behavioral Health job opening located in Arizona.
A 75+ bed hospital located just over an hour from Tucson in SE AZ, has a need for an experienced Director of Behavioral Health to join their team.
The Director of Adult Acute Behavioral Health, reflects the purpose and values of the Medical Center, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Current FTEs: 23.6 (with Social workers, RN’s and Behavioral Health Techs
Participates in the development of a strategic vision for a new adult acute behavioral health unit that opened in April 2015; develops, implements, and promotes strategies for patient care delivery and hospital operations. Collaborates with medical leadership and hospital departments to advance quality strategies, ensure a professional work environment, facilitate timeliness of services, and enhance patient satisfaction and care for the behavioral health population. Oversees the development of clinical and financial systems and nursing systems resources. Oversees the development and implementation of capacity expansion plans. Models effective leadership behaviors to achieve organizational outcomes.
Position Requirements:
- Complies with legal, hospital and departmental policies, procedures and position requirements.
- Arizona Licensed Registered Nurse,
- Eight to ten years nursing experience with demonstrated progressive responsibility in management/administration.
- Masters of Science Degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- Must obtain the following certifications within 90 days of hire: CPR and Handle with Care.
