Supply Chain Director Job Opening in Colorado

Job opening in a small rural hospital in Western CO, for an experienced Supply Chain Director to join their team. They are looking for someone with healthcare experience.  The Director will oversee 4 FTEs.

Assumes the responsibility for the administration and management of the Health System’s Supply Chain department consisting of Supply Chain, Linen, Bio-Medical Engineering, and IV solutions. Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and controls the resources necessary to achieve the objectives of the Supply Chain Department.  In general, this includes organizing and directing resources to assure the adequate availability of material in a timely basis to all users in the health system while optimizing the procurement, use, and inventory levels of all such material within the supply chain.

Job Relationships: Director works with internal customers across the Health System: staff, managers, directors, executives, physicians, and the Board of Trustees as well as external customers: vendors, manufactures, representatives, technicians, other healthcare facilities, and individuals or as required to execute the duties and responsibilities of the Supply Chain Director role.  

Education: High School graduate required. Bachelor’s Degree in related field required. Experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education   

Experience: Two to five years healthcare purchasing experience required. Five years healthcare management experience 

Licenses/Certification: Valid Colorado Driver’s License. Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) preferred. Certified Value Analysis Healthcare Professional (CVAHP) preferred. DOT Hazardous Materials 

Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Knowledge of contract law. Knowledge of Healthcare GPO concepts. Knowledge of Evident MMIS. Proficient knowledge of all Micro Soft Office products. Ability to perform in-depth financial analytics. Interpersonal relationship skills and emotional intelligence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clear/concise delivery. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions. Ability to exercise sound judgment, determine priorities, and manage time. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
