A small rural hospital located in Central WY, about 3 hours from Jackson, WY, has a need for a System Director of Quality to join their team. This position oversees 2 hospitals located approximately 20 miles apart. This position oversees 7 FTEs, who are all very seasoned staff (some have been there for 15 years, others for 30 years). They are a great team to work with. They are looking for someone who has lots of experience as a RN, preferably in multiple areas, someone who is transparent, someone with great communication skills. They need someone who works well with Physicians and who will support the staff, and if needed, be a buffer for the staff.
The Quality Director, working in partnership with the Administration of the hospital and medical staff leadership, will provide leadership in the development of a culture of safety and the measurement of quality of care identifying opportunities and strategies for performance improvement (PI). This is in accordance with established indicators/criteria, hospital policy, QIO, CMA and Joint Commission requirements. Includes, but is not limited to core measures, constituency satisfaction, Joint Commission and HIPAA. Performs/oversees chart review and data abstraction for quality reports and measures.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Health Administration or related field.
Master’s Degree in Healthcare will be highly preferred.
Requires four to six years of work experience in inpatient hospital setting to provide basic familiarity with current medical practices and regulatory controls such as Medicare, Medicaid, The Joint Commission and Peer Review Organizations.
Must have certification in Healthcare Quality or equivalent or obtain within 1 year of employment.
Must be highly motivated, productive, detail orientated, dependable and self-directed. Must have proficient computer skills, knowledgeable of Microsoft Word, Internet, ability to use hospital-based software. Strong organizational and prioritization skills needed.
Must be able to read and interpret medial terms, physician’s orders and other communication documents. Must have a command of the English language to be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, physician, patients, families, visitors and other health care professionals.
Must have current BLS

Compensation package includes:
10% director bonus
Salary range between $76,500–$109,950
Temporary housing allowance
