A small rural hospital located in Central WY, about 3 hours from Jackson, WY, has a need for Behavioral Health Inpatient Psych Director to join their team.
To provide clinical practice leadership for the operation of Behavioral Health Unit within hospital dedicated to the care of assigned patient population. To direct quality clinical practice, coordinate patient service delivery, educate and develop staff, control budget(s) and manage the work environment. To serve as a resource for interdisciplinary divisions within the hospital.
The inpatient adult behavioral health unit is currently a 10 bed unit with future expansion to 13 beds. The staff consists of RN’s, C.N.A.’s, a full-time and PRN Licensed Clinical Social Worker. They have 3 contract RN’s in place at this time. They are currently rebuilding our staffing following flooding that took place in May 2016. They have 3.5 full-time RN positions posted as well as 3 C.N.A. positions.
The director position requires an MSN and is non-negotiable for the position. They can however be actively enrolled in a Master’s program but they would need an anticipated graduation date. They want a director who has the ability, skills, and knowledge to step in and assist with patient care should there be staff call-outs or other extenuating circumstances.
Current RN Licensure from the State of Wyoming
Masters Degree in Science of Nursing
Prior behavioral health experience required
At least three years experience in manager director role
Minimum 5 years’ progressive leadership experience
CPI Certification required within 6 months of hire
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association
Must have strong communication skills and have the ability to work with agencies across the region to facilitate transfers timely.

Compensation package includes:
10% director bonus
Salary range between $64K – $90,500
Temporary housing allowance
Retention bonus of $5000
