We are working with a hospital in the Northern CA area looking for a Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager to join their team.
Close driving distance to Marin County, San Francisco, Napa and Vallejo. Excellent area close to wineries, outdoor activities and year round pleasant weather.
Hospital ranked in the top 10% of California hospitals, according to the 2013-2014 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals.
Overview:
150+bed acute care hospital, not-for-profit and affiliated with a large healthcare system.
Unit: Family Birthing
Private rooms.
FTE’s – 15 reporting to position.
Position reports to Director of Surgical Services.
Job Summary:
The Nurse Manager:
1. Maintains responsibility for the allocation of resources within the team to meet care and/or service expectations within established budget and ensure that appropriate support resources are directed to team and customer needs. Proactively seeks cost containment and revenue enhancement opportunities.
2. Directs the day-to-day operation of assigned team(s).
3. Facilitates the development of annual team performance goals, monitors results and implements corrections/ adjustments as needed to ensure alignment with hospital strategic plan and organizational objectives.
4. Prepares and complies with annual departmental budgets in cooperation with finance and budget personnel within established timeframes.
Requirements:
CA RN license.
BSN preferred.
2+years experience as in Labor and Delivery.
2+years in a supervisory nurse management role.
Must be willing to do clinical work when needed.
