Magnet Hospital in CA is looking for a Director, Clinical Effectiveness & Redesign.
The Director, Clinical Effectiveness & Redesign serves as the leader responsible for the development and implementation of Children’s care management systems across the inpatient, outpatient, physician practice, and ancillary services. The Director has specific accountability to work with various clinical and administrative leaders and executives across the organization to build the necessary operational systems to effectively coordinate care for patients and families among clinical providers, hospital settings, and community based services. As part of this responsibility, the Director will evaluate current operations and processes, identify gaps in services, develop acceptable standards for care coordination, and ensure continued monitoring and compliance with standards.  The Director is responsible for execution of the strategic, financial, and operational plans of the care management enterprise within the system.


Minimum of five (5) years experience in clinical care redesign and management or five (5) years as a pediatric clinician for pediatric patients. Previous experience in a leadership role within a large healthcare institution. Previous experience in process improvement, Lean management principles, or similar systems.  Balanced perspective and significant knowledge of innovative healthcare delivery models.  Five (5) years of senior level experience in a clinical care redesign.  Extensive experience working collaboratively with physicians and office practices.
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related Master’s degree field field.  Clinical training and education is strongly preferred (i.e. RN, PA, NP, MD).
Demonstrated success as a collaborative leader within a hospital/healthcare system or payer organization. Excellent problem solving skills and demonstrated strength in conflict resolution (negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building). Capacity to develop and communicate a vision and inspire others. Understand and support metrics-driven process standardization and  efficient use of electronic medical record systems. A creative, energetic leader with capacity to manage change initiatives in the context of a complex cultural and political milieu. Ability to challenge status quo and bring physicians to a new, innovative way of working and thinking. Passionate about world-class pediatric care. Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization, demonstrating a willingness to listen and respond appropriately. Ability to build, implement and closely adhere to a complex project plan.
