Job Summary and Qualifications
The Director of Surgical Services ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit(s)/department(s) in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. The Director fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Required
* Master’s Degree Preferred
* 2+ years of previous Director of Surgical Services experience Required
* 3+ years of previous applicable experience in acute care Surgical Services Required
Additional Information
* Level II Trauma
* 11 ORs and are in process with adding 2 more (construction project will double size of SPD, double preop & pacu, refresh existing ORs and add the two additional ORs for a total of 13 ORs)
* 450-500 surgeries/month
* CV, ortho, neuro spine, general, GYN, urology, vascular
* Only level II trauma center in Johnson County – lots of Trauma volume
Reporting Structure
* Admin Director reports into hospital COO
* 3 Managers as direct reports
* OR Manager
* SPD Manager
* Periop Manager (preop, pacu, GI, PAT)
* 75 FTEsSalary Range: $132k – $190k
Relocation: Case by Case Basis
Incentive Bonus of 17.5%
