For 40 years, we have served Bay County and the surrounding communities. We are an accredited facility offering comprehensive care. This includes advanced cardiac assessment and treatment. We offer certified women’s services. Our hospital has dedicated spaces for adult and pediatric emergency services. We are certified in Advanced Primary Stroke Care. Our hospital is accredited as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center. We are the area’s only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation. Other services that we offer include orthopedic care and joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac, vascular, and interventional services. We are home to the only Pediatric ER in the community. We have the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in the region. Together, we continue to raise the bar in healthcare.

Job Summary: 

Provide leadership for planning, management, implementation, integration and coordination of the unit in support of facility goals dedicated to excellence, effective leadership, and financial stability. Support the delivery of the high-quality, cost-effective patient care through activities based on facility strategic goals and objectives. 

What you will do in this role: 

    *  Enhance the department through performance improvement and appropriate utilization of resources. 

    * Develop an operational system that supports a seamless flow of patients through the continuum of care. 

    * Facilitate the development of a comprehensive education program for patients and staff. 

    * Collaborate with physicians to provide leadership throughout the department. 

    * Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding new technology and services. 

    * Collaborates proactively with all interdisciplinary team members and with a patient/family focus to facilitate and maximize client healthcare outcomes. 

    * Coordinates multi-disciplinary patient care conferences for high risk or medically complex patients. 

    * Leads research projects under the IRB. 

    * Directs development of specific short and long-range programs and project plans to obtain the facility objectives. 

    * Responsible for the planning and coordination of activities, operational efficiency and effectiveness as well as major impact on all other hospital areas. 

    * Effective interviews and selects a qualified number of personnel as required to meet department objectives. 

    * Ensures hiring practices conform to appropriate Affirmative Action/EEO practices and regulations. 

    * Provides directions to the staff and supervisors. 

    * Reviews performance of the department staff and approves staff evaluations. 

    * Responsible for appropriate disciplinary action of staff members as needed. 

What qualifications you will need: 

    *  5+ years of Recent (Within the last year) acute care RN leadership experience

    *  Bachelors Degree

    *  (APRN) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, or (RN) Registered Nurse

    *  Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
