Job Summary: Responsible for direction and coordination of the personnel in Clinical Laboratory services. Activities included are performance of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests performed in the laboratory to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Ensures that services are of the best quality, are cost contained and are carried out in an expeditious manner. Responsible for recognizing results or problems that requires referral to the laboratory pathologist. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Performs some general office duties and maintains accurate files. 

• Supervised by Assistant Administrator 
• 8-9 FTE’s

Regulatory Requirements:

• Current Medical Technologist licensure in the State of Missouri; BS preferred.
• Recent managerial experience in the clinical laboratory of an acute hospital.
• Expresses ideas in a clear, creative, and succinct manner.
• Candidate needs to be an experienced Director with passing CLIA inspections.

Language Skills:

• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages preferred but not required.

Skills:

• Basic computer knowledge
