System Director – Pathology & Lab job opening located in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

The System Senior Director of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is a 24-hour responsibility shared with hospital and departmental leadership. Responsibilities include Oversight of all procedures performed within the Clinical Departments of the Laboratory, to include Hematology/Coagulation/ Urinalysis, Chemistry, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Client Services, Point of Care, inpatient phlebotomy, and all Outreach Patient Services Centers within the system. The System Director is responsible for strategic planning, business development, setting performance expectations, project management, staff utilization, budgeting, directing operations and ensuring delivery of high-quality standard of care. The System Director plans the course of the department to meet capital, staffing and expense budgets while ensuring continuous quality of services is provided. The System Director develops and implements programs that sustain the mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives of the hospital. The System Director maintains an active and exemplary collaborative relationship with physicians, staff, departments, committees, and administrators. Ensures compliance with policies as well as regulatory agencies.

1000+ licensed beds (over 3 acute care hospitals)

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree (MHA or MBA) Strongly Preferred
• Prior experience as Medical Lab Scientist/Tech Strongly Preferred
• ASCP Certification
• Large Laboratory System Experience required.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
Ideal candidate would have large laboratory system experience. Prior experience as Medical Lab Scientist/Tech Strongly Preferred. ASCP Certification Required.
