ER Manager job opening located in Boise, Idaho.
350-400 beds. 63,000 visits annually.
The ER Manager reports to the ER Director. They assumes direct responsibility for coordinating and supervising the Emergency Departments (34 and 14 beds). 120 FTEs (150 people). The entire Nursing and CNA/ED Tech staff for both locations roll up to this manager. Oversees 3 supervisors. This is inclusive of financial responsibility, departmental performance, performance management, and quality improvement programs. Identifies all customer groups, assesses their needs, and coordinates department to successfully achieve service line objectives. Assists the Director in policy / procedure development and monitoring, multi-disciplinary business planning and program growth development.
Colleague must have an RN license, as defined by their primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued prior to hire date Those colleagues hired before January 1, 2020 must provide licensure or proof of application in process in their secondary state by August 28, 2020. Individuals hired in this role after January 1, 2020, must provide licensure or proof of application in their secondary state by August 28, 2020 or within six months of hire, whichever date is later. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred. 5 years nursing experience in acute care required; 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
