Manager of Health Information job opening located in Georgia.

Will lead a team of 22 FTEs in the areas of chart reconciliation, scanning, analysis & data integrity for a 350+ bed hospital.  Have an excellent Coordinator who handles the majority of day-to-day operations.  Department is fully staffed (except for this position) with experienced team members.  The department is running smoothly and the focus is improving productivity and efficiency.  The Director of HIM, Revenue Integrity & documentation improvement (the person to whom this person will report) is an extraordinary leader and developer of people.  Organization has been consistently profitable for decades and while profits decreased during the pandemic, the organization remained profitable and did not furlough or eliminate any positions.  

This is an onsite role.  Bachelors degree required, RHIA or RHIT credential required with RHIA preferred.  Strong HIM operations experience with solid coding knowledge required.  Must have management experience.  This position’s title of “Manager” is a misnomer because the scope of responsibility and compensation aligns with Assistant Director & Director titled roles in other organizations.
