Inpatient Rehab Nursing Director job opening located in Virginia.
A hospital in South central VA near the NC border has a need for an experienced Inpatient Rehab Nursing Director to join their team. The Director will oversee 12 FTEs. This is a 10 bed unit
Responsible for organizing and directing day to day operations of the Inpatient Rehab Unit. Provides clinical support to areas of competency. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient population served. Provides leadership to staff with global decision making and accountability of standards for self and staff. Collaborates with Physicians and other department staff to provide comprehensive care with the focus on positive customer service. Coordinates financial goals through appropriate staffing, charge reconciliation and product/cost efficiency. Coaches and mentors staff to achieve optimal work atmosphere and departmental goals. Coordinates CQI and other compliance data collections.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree required. Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse for the Virginia State Board of Nursing or compact state required. Minimum five (5) years’ experience in acute care nursing required. Three (3) year’s management experience as a full-time charge nurse, clinical manager, or Nursing Administrative Supervisor required. Experience at the Director level.
