250+ licensed beds, not for profit healthcare system
Description:
- Extensive knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice
- Extensive knowledge of modern principles and practices of hospital operations and nursing administration
- Ability to plan, organize and direct comprehensive nursing activities
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and establish computer skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrative and medical personnel, employees, the public and other agencies
- Level III Trauma
- Two assistants under Director: Trauma Coord, and Admin Asst
- # ER beds: 24 with 4 being flex beds
- # Annual ER visits: 30,000
- # FTE’s: 63
Experience/Education:
- Entry Level: Must have a minimum of 5 years of Emergency clinical practice or Critical Care clinical experience with a minimum of 3 years in an administrative capacity
- Graduate of a school of Professional Nursing
- BS degree in Nursing or evidence of a plan to obtain BSN or better and/or related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- Licensed by the Georgia Board of Nursing
- Current certification in Basic Life Support
- Must be certified in ACLS, TNCC, ENPC or PALS
- CEN or CCRN certification preferred
