Interventional Radiology Manager Job Opening in Washington State

Job opening in a large health system in the Seattle, WA area, for an Interventional Radiology Manager to join their team.  Overseeing 2 departments. 

This position is responsible for the overall management and leadership in the delivery of comprehensive, high quality services provided in Interventional Radiology on two campuses. Responsibilities include ensuring safe patient care is provided, program development, service improvement and promotion, overseeing the activities in the development of department staff, and assisting with the budget preparation and monitoring

In this position you will:

• Accountable for ensuring the provision of patient care 24 hours per day. Accountable for assigned clinical operations, patient care activities, and coordinating patient care delivery on a daily basis in collaboration with other members of the health care team. Ensures that safe patient care is delivered in accordance with professional, regulatory and medical center standards
• Establishes and enforces standards of patient care and practice pertaining to areas of responsibility. Is accountable for developing, implementing and monitoring department-based quality improvement programs. Responsible for developing and implementing department-based goals for the delivery of quality patient care
• Assures compliance with department standards by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of patient care by reinforcing positive outcomes and demonstrating corrective action for identified problems. Maintains and updates departmental standards and practice
• Collaborates with physicians and educational services staff to identify, plan and implement educational programs pertinent to the service and for all levels of staff
• Assumes the role of patient advocate to clarify and evaluate ethical and/or legal issues, and supports cultural practices

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) Or Bachelor’s Degree in Cardiovascular Services or Interventional Radiology Or equivalent educ/experience related to Cardiovascular Services or Interventional Radiology
• Current WA State Registered Nurse license OR WA State Certified Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN)
• Radiologic Technologist registry by ARRT
• Post primary certification in Interventional Radiology
• ACLS
• Five (5) years experience in an acute care setting
• Three (3) years previous management or supervisory experience
  

 Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing, Cardiovascular Services or Interventional Radiology
