Job Opening in a midsized hospital located in Central North Carolina, is conducting a search for an experienced Surgical Services Director to join their team. The Director will be overseeing PACU, the OR and Central Sterile.
- 30-35 FTE’s
- Responsible for Operating Room, PACU & Central Sterile Supply
- 6 ORs, 4 functioning
- Surgeries include: General, Urology, OB/GYN, Scopes and Ortho
- Average 10-25 cases a day
- No robots
- PACU has 7 bays & isolation room
- Director will have support from Surgical Services Manager
Job Summary:
Our client is looking for a dynamic individual who will be responsible for 24/7 management of the Surgical Services Department. The Director is a Registered Nurse responsible for the administration and supervision of the surgical unit, including the overall planning and organizing of activities and staffing. This position is also responsible for developing, reviewing and revising all policies and procedures, plus participating in the financial management of the department. The Director is a member of the nursing administrative team and reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.
General Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in North Carolina
- BSN/CNOR preferred
- Minimum three years clinical experience
- Minimum two years demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience
- Competency in effective perioperative management of patients
