ER Director – Job Opening!
100+ bed hospital located in WV, has a need for an experienced ER Director to join their team.
BSN, MSN preferred, with experience as a Director of Emergency Services, specifically in reducing throughput time (Arrival: MSE, Door: Doc, Care Complete: Depart, etc).
The ER has 20 beds and the Director will oversee 26.6 FTEs.
The Director of Emergency Services is a registered professional nurse who directs and coordinates the overall activities of the Emergency Department to provide an optimum level of care within the emergency department.
He/She guides patient-centered care in accordance with JCAHO, OSHA, physician orders, nursing and departmental guidelines, and other regulatory agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a program for Registered Nurses with an appropriate degree in Nursing and licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of West Virginia.
Five (5) years of progressive nursing experience with two (2) years management experience.
BSN required.
MSN or CFNP preferred.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and to conduct self in a courteous and professional manner.
Ability to guide and direct activities and staff to provide optimal patient care.
Utilizes the nursing process as a framework for patient care while recognizing the dignity and worth of each patient.
Collaborates with other health care members to maintain a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
