Emergency Department Director in Colorado

Oversight of two Critical Access Hospitals 30 miles apart

Responsible for quality patient care and overall operation of the Emergency Department.

Manages staff in the Emergency Department, provides management of operational and nursing activities, and, supports staffing needs as required.

This position consults with staff, physicians and the CNO on all aspects of staff performance to ensure the highest quality of Patient Care.

Provides solid interpretation and guidance of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.

Current RN license in the state of Colorado.

BSN required.

Three (3) years or more years’ experience in all aspects of critical care nursing preferred.

Previous Management experience required.

Current BLS Certification.

Current ACLS Certification.

Current TNCC Certification.

Current PALS or ENPC Certification.

Annual ER visits: 5,500 and 1,750 5 ED Bays and 3 ED Bays

This position will oversee 3 acute care facilities in the Richmond area


Work requires a level of knowledge that is equivalent to that which would generally be acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management. (Required)

Must have acute care hospital experience.

Knowledge of all systems and procedures used in Construction, Plant Operations and Maintenance at a level generally acquired during five to seven years of progressively more responsible experience, with experience in a hospital or medical center setting required.

Requires a working knowledge of all construction assemblies, procedures of in-place products, systems, components required of all divisions, and all crafts.

Previous supervisory and/or managerial work experience in order to represent the Health System to outside agencies required.

Must be Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) licensed or eligible to take the exam within a year.

Will be eligible for and earn within three years the Operations Performance.

Management Professional (OPMP) Designation from the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

Designation will be maintained through the attainment of continuing education units for the duration of employment.

Laboratory Director opportunity in Central Washington

Critical Access Hospital

There are a total of three full-time FTEs (two of which work every day during the week and only one works the weekend shifts).

In addition, we have one pool Lab Tech and are currently looking for additional pool Lab Techs. Our Lab supports our Acute Care unit, our Emergency Department and our Family Practice Clinic.

Current Director is retiring after 40 years of service!

Must have at least four (4) years of Medical Technologist experience in similar or larger organization(s), plus two (2) years in a lead capacity.

Must possess exceptional verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills that align with hospital’s Shared Values.

Must possess specific knowledge of Lab operations per Washington State Department of Health requirements, WACs, etc.

Must have demonstrated ability to achieve fiscal, productivity, quality, legal, regulatory, and other dashboard benchmarks.

Must have demonstrated favorable results in patient, staff and physician satisfaction.

Must be proficient in the use of computer systems required to operationally manage and report on the operations of the Lab.

ASCP certification.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Must possess a current Utah State RN license, BSN, or Masters preferred.

Must be a RN who can circulate.

A qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Health information Management or equivalent.

RHIA or Registered Records Administrator certificate.

Prior experience in Health Information Services.

Master’s Degree in health related field required. Valid Texas nursing license.

Five years’ hospital or health care related experience with a minimum of three years management.

Experience in leading hospital or system DNV activities required.

Must be able to demonstrate skills related to statistical and systems analysis.


Current Texas license or certification in specialty area of practice highly recommended.

CPHQ preferred.

Job Requirements:
