Director for the Health Information Services

Manages the HIS department and staff (HIS clerks, transcriptionist, coders, utilization review)
Client is a 17-bed, acute care Critical Access Hospital in Nebraska. Hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services, including obstetrics, surgery, therapy, screenings, and emergency services. We also provide additional health and life services for the community.
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Bachelors Degree from four year college or university; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
AHIMA RHIT or RHIA certified
This is an exempt position. Main hours are Monday through Friday between 8am-5pm.
Attends the Medical Staff meeting once a month at 7am.
Since this is a director position they will be paired with another director as a mentor. The current Director is retiring and will be able to train the new Director.
