1) Chief Quality Officer

 Scope

 Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ acute care experience, 1 year in Quality Management or related field required, 5-10 years in Quality Management preferred, 1 year in Risk Management.
  • CPHQ, CSHA, CPHRM preferred or eligible to achieve within 18 months.
  • Competent administrator and clinician, RN strongly preferred, able to work adeptly with all healthcare stakeholders.
  • Existing CQO or Quality, Safety, and/or Risk Director preferred. Rock star Manager in these areas will be considered.

Other Key Information

  • Chief Quality Officer reports to hospital Chief Executive Officer, a dynamic mover/shaker!
  • Facility is a Trauma Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, Chest Pain Accredited for Heart Failure Care. Three direct reports to CQO: Infection Control Practitioner, Core Measures Abstractor, Quality Manager.

 

2)     Director of Quality, California50 bed not for profit facility in semi-rural location; RN and BS in healthcare related field min, master’s preferred; CPHQ current; 5 years’ recent acute care hospital experience in leadership role including operations, project management roles and analytic responsibilities; good computer skills working within statistical reports; resource and subject matter expert (SME) on aspects of the quality program to develop and influence improvement strategies; responsibility for working with the organization to pursue operational improvements and efficiencies; supporting the development and implementation of clinical assessment/process improvement and redesign; participates on a team that works toward identifying best clinical and operational improvement practices; pursues opportunities for work that adds value and eliminates waste and redundancy to help achieve and retain optimal quality outcomes

 

3)    Director of Quality and Safely, California75 bed hospital in great location; RN and BS in healthcare related field min, master’s preferred; CPHQ current; 5 years’ recent acute care hospital experience in leadership role including operations, project management roles and analytic responsibilities; good computer skills working within statistical reports; resource and subject matter expert (SME) on aspects of the quality program to develop and influence improvement strategies; responsibility for working with the organization to pursue operational improvements and efficiencies; supporting the development and implementation of clinical assessment/process improvement and redesign; participates on a team that works toward identifying best clinical and operational improvement practices; pursues opportunities for work that adds value and eliminates waste and redundancy to help achieve and retain optimal quality outcomes.

 

4)     Director of Quality, Southeast200+ not for profit facility; BSN min, master’s preferred, CPHQ a plus; great admin team

5) CA – Operations Manager of Quality & Safety. 400+bed acute care hospital

Manager will assist the Director of Quality & Safety in the activities of planning, organizing, and coordinating the integrated functions of the Quality Management Department.

 

The incumbent assists in the supervision of the general operations of the Quality Management Department guiding the job performance of the department staff on a day-to-day basis including developing, conducting and reporting program audits; collecting, analyzing, and reporting data; developing and implementing quality improvement efforts; researching best practices and evidence-based practices and participating in program evaluation.  8 reports.  Quality assurance and improvement, Performance improvement and technology savvy skills are most important aspects.

 

Minimum Qualifications

. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare or related field, or equivalent education and experience

. Three (3) years progressive leadership or supervisory experience

. Knowledge of operational characteristics, services and activities of a quality management program

. Ability to function independently with minimal supervision required with demonstrated ability to efficiently manage time

. Proven ability to plan, develop and evaluate a variety of activities that support the organization’s objectives

. Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills

. Extensive experience in Infection Control and/or accreditations/licensure activities

. Membership in a professional society that enhance quality, patient safety, risk management or technical or management advancement (ACHE)

 

Preferred Qualification

*  RN preferred

*  Master’s Degree in BA, Healthcare or related field

*  CPHQ and/or CPPS certification
