Large healthcare organization, multiple hospitals. Extremely supportive working environment, tenure staff in the HR department. Looking for a solid experienced Director to join their team.
Summary: Director will be responsible for managing and directing the labor and employee relations for healthcare system, including assisting in union negotiations, administering labor contracts and resolving grievances. Works closely with department/senior management to ensure that functional operations are in alignment with the principles of positive employee relations and in compliance with obligations under a collective bargaining agreement, law, policy or regulatory environment. Ensures that all matters are investigated and handled in an equitable, consistent and lawful manner. Provides leadership and oversight over the development and implementation of employee health services and workers’ compensation programs to ensure a safe and healthy atmosphere for employees.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, education, management, business or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Juris Doctorate highly desirable. Five (5) years management/leadership experience in labor and employee relations, preferably in healthcare in a 300+acute care bed hospital. Demonstrate knowledge of and experience with state and federal employment laws (including federal and state anti-discrimination laws, federal and state wage and hour laws, labor laws, and workers compensation), and current employee and labor relations practices.
