A large health system located in the Raleigh, NC area, has a need for an Education Resource Specialist RN for Home Health to join their team.
Here at the hospital, the Home Health Department provides full service home health to patients in this County and some of the surrounding counties. The Education Resource Specialist, RN is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and developing education programs for Home Health as well as the specific hospital-wide nursing service. In the organization and administration of staff development efforts, the Education Resource Specialist, RN applies nursing, adult learning, and other theories as appropriate. The Education Resource Specialist, RN functions as an education advisor to Home Health personnel and as a facilitator for their continued development. Responsible for the Performance Improvement coordination including the work of the PI committee and the Joint Commission work and the follow-up reporting. The Education Resource Specialist, RN reports to the Director of Nursing for the specific service.
Experience: Five years nursing experience with a minimum of three years in area of specialty, and one year of experience teaching as a preceptor or educator required.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. MSN preferred. Certification in area of specialty preferred.
Licensure/Credentials: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing required.
Current valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance. Driver’s License required.
Hours of Work 8-4:30
