A hospital located near Modesto, CA, has a need for an experienced Plant Operations Director to join their team.
The Director of Plant Operations is responsible for facilitating the organizational needs of the Plant Operations and Bio/Med departments. The Director of Plant Operations will provide leadership for department employees in achieving departmental and organizational goals using safe, effective, and efficient facility operation processes. The Director of Plant Operations insures that the facility and related equipment is maintained to provide efficient and reliable operation in support of delivery of patient care. The position is responsible for financial, employee, and regulatory management of the departments. The Director of Plant Operations provides support and training for hospital and department employees in the areas of medical equipment, utilities, and energy management. The position also acts as the hospital’s contact person for furniture moves, staff relocations, and minor construction projects. Participation in the Environment of Care Safety committee and the Emergency Preparedness Sub-committee is required. The Director of Plant Operations is responsible for management of the Hazardous Materials program.
Must possess an Associate’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or have equivalent education and experience of at least five years in a managerial position in plant operations, stationary engineering or related field.
Previous hospital Facility or Biomedical Management experience required. 5-7 years of experience required..
Sufficient knowledge and experience in hospital maintenance and clinical equipment field to facilitate department employees in evaluation, coordination, and completion of work in accordance with local, state and national codes.
