Emergency Room Nurse job, North Carolina

The Emergency Room Nurse (ER) performs direct and indirect patient care activities within the Registered Nurse’s scope of practice and hospital’s standards of care. Emergency room (ER) nurse will work in critical care emergency facilities to assist doctors and work with emergency medical technicians in helping people in pain and possibly life-threatening trauma. The ER nurse must work to quickly assess the needs of each patient, prioritize care based on its critical nature, and work to stabilize a patient, treat the problem, discharge the patient after the emergency is over or make arrangements for a longer hospital stay.

Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN).
  • Current RN licensure is required.
  • At least 2 years of nursing experience is required, CEN and TNCC are highly preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year Emergency Room experience required.
  • BLS, PALS and ACLS are required.
