Physicians Clinic – currently 4 Physicians and 2 Physicians Assistants….adding another P.A.,

Hospital –  17 bed critical access hospital.

This critical access hospital provides acute, emergency and long term care, surgical and outpatient services to the community.

Outpatient services include cardiac, pulmonary, physical, occupational, and speech therapy; and visiting specialists who provide consultations and surgical services. Great

PA – CARDIOVASCULAR SURGERY 

This facility is a non-profit health system that cares for patients, educates tomorrow’s health care providers, motivates our community with fitness and health programs, and collaborates to continually improve how we serve others.

*Assists with surgical emergencies.

*Administers medications and injections in compliance with state law and clinic guidelines.

*Plans and participates in educational programs for patients, families, medical students, and hospital staff as needed.  Provides workshops, seminars, and presentations to other professionals.

Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.  Provides patient education.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education:  Graduate of a program for Physician Assistants that is accredited by the college of medicine and surgery and approved by the Nebraska Board of Examiners and Surgery is required.  Current license as a Physician Assistant in the state of Nebraska is required.  Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is preferred.  A minimum of one year experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.   Surgery experience in a cardiothoracic and vascular surgery setting is preferred.    Current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required..

Certification/License/Registration:  Current license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Nebraska.  Certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.  Current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications required

Surgery experience in a cardiothoracic and vascular surgery setting preferred

Salary: Depending on experience, $80k-$120k, possible relocation

The Orthopedic Trauma Advanced Practitioner

Salary: 39.20/hr (min) – 49.98/hr (mid)

The Orthopedic Trauma Advanced Practitioner provides medical services to assigned patients according to the Scope of Practice for Nurse Practitioners as identified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners OR as a Physician Assistant performs selective medical services and procedures under the direction of the Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon and the Trauma Medical Director.  In addition to diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses, the Orthopedic Trauma Advanced Practitioner emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention; orders, conducts and interprets diagnostic and laboratory tests, and prescribes pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic therapies.

Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act required.  Master of Science degree in Nursing with current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska required.  Certification with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for prescriptive authority required within 2 months of hire.  Certification as Adult Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner preferred.  Prior adult, trauma, orthopedic, or family practice experience preferred.  Completion of Bryan credentialing and re-credentialing process required for employment.

Graduate degree from a Physician’s Assistant program required.  Current licensure as a Physician Assistant required.  Completion of Bryan credentialing and re-credentialing process required for employment.  Certification with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for prescriptive authority required within 2 months of hire.  Prior adult, trauma, orthopedic, or family practice experience preferred.  Integrated practice agreement with the Medical Director for Trauma or Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon as required by Nebraska State law is mandatory.

BLS/ ACLS/ PALS/ATLS within one year of hire.  NCCPA/AANP Certification required and DEA license.

Physician available in house and by phone, specialty clinic staff during daytime hours.  On call required when attending is on call.

Approximately 15 patients per day to round on in addition to trauma activations and OR time.
