Nurse Recruiter job, DC, MD, VA

This position recruits only nursing department staff in specific areas of the hospital.  It will be part of a nurse recruitment department consisting of a Director, 3 professional level RN Recruiters and 2 assistants.  This recruiter will have HR assistant support and will cover a portion of the nursing units in the hospital (specific units to be determined). The recruiter typically carries approximately 50 to 60 openings at a time, with 70% of those openings being RNs.  He/she can expect to fill an average of 80-90 jobs a year.  This Recruiter will work with only 10-12 different hiring managers and directors.  Work hours are somewhat flexible, with Core Department hours being 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. However, may flex hours between 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. depending on the business need.

Responsibilities include:

  • Interviewing potential staff
  • Writing advertisements
  • Searching the internet for potential candidates
  • Screening candidates by phone and conducting personal interviews
  • Giving hospital tours, and attending job fairs.

Qualifications:

Must be an RN with experience in staff recruitment. Bachelor’s degree required, BSN preferred, MS ideal. PHR or CHCR certification a plus. Clinical Nursing Managers with significant hiring experience may apply.

Compensation:

Salary Range:  $76,000 – $99,000
