Post Surgery RN Manager career opportunity located in Fresno, California area.

 I’m helping a healthcare organization in the Central Valley, CA market who is looking for a RN Manager of Surgery to join their team. Will oversee two locations. BSN required with an active CA RN license, 5 years of operating room experience and 2 years of Supervisory experience. Overview:

        * Nurse Manager Surgery- Fresno CA market

        * Will spend majority of time in two different locations in the area.

     *  Essential and Critical Functions

1.       Build a high performing clinical team by recruiting and retained Skilled professionals.  Performs staffing and evaluations. Provides necessary Leadership coaching and provides actionable discipline as necessary.

2.       Sets and strives to achieve metrics and goals for Patient Safety, Quality of care and compliance with all regulatory requirements.  Biggest area of concern currently is staff engagement and a strong focus on FCOTS and turn time.

3.       Daily rounds with physicians to create active communication and coordinate appropriate accountability.  Facilitates and monitors throughput for timely admission and transfer

Education and Work Experience:

·        BSN Required

·        Five years of technical clinical experience required, with a focus on OR specifically preferred.  One year leadership as a charge, Asst NM or Nurse Manager as well. Two years of acute care nursing in a hospital setting preferred.

·        BLS, ACLS, PALS, required,  National Specialty Certification in pursuit or obtained within 2 years of hire.

Other information:

·        Reports to a Director of Periop

·        25-28 FTEs, there is a Lead over Pre-Op and a Lead over OR. Fully Staffed, 1 traveler.

·        3 ORs and a GI Suite at one location and 2 ORs at another location- both run 7:00-3:30    PM

·        Volume-around 1800 cases/year at 1st location, and 1500 Endo Cases. 20 a month 2nd location ( all GYN).

·         Cases are General Surgery, Hand, END and GYN. All Scheduled cases are elective, and they help with emergency surgeries as needed.

Salary range: 132k-195k plus sign-on bonus.
