CNO Opening – Colorado Springs
64 beds – Specialty HospitalPosition Requirements:
• Current RN licensure appropriate to state regulations ( unrestricted)
• BLS certification (ACLS Preferred)
• CRRN certification to be obtained within a year of meeting the eligibility requirements to site for the examination.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Advanced Degree, plan to receive an advance degree, or knowledge and skills associated with an advanced degree required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field required unless higher degree required by state.
• Five years’ experience in inpatient hospital experience
• Two years recent (within the last 5 years) Nursing Management experience with responsibilities include such as 24-hour accountability, FTE management, policy, procedure, and budgetary oversight, and conducting disciplinary action.
Additional Details:
* Position reports to the CEO and sits on the leadership team
* Hospital is 64 beds; ADC is 45-55
* Direct reports: total of 48-50
* Departments that report to CNO: RN’s, RNT’s, education/infection prevention, wound care, dialysis, scheduling, Respiratory Therapy and dietary
* Nurse ratio: 1:8
* Comp: up to 135k -145k, possible wiggle room, plus bonus program.
#2) CNO – Rehabilitation Hospital – New Orleans, LA
CNO opening at one of their inpatient rehab hospitals, about 50 beds.
Qualified candidate MUST HAVE Inpatient Rehab experience – at minimum 1 year but ideally 2 years.
140-150k plus bonus program and 15k sign on and relocation.
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is a senior member of the hospital leadership team, and actively participates in the oversight and establishment of best practices and standards for hospital clinical services. The CNO manages the nursing teams in order for us to provide the highest quality of care and service for the patients. The CNO coordinates nursing with other patient care and support functions to assure optimum delivery of health care. The CNO provides leadership and guidance in establishing standards for nursing and other clinical services under his/her jurisdiction.

* Shares responsibility for employee engagement, recruitment and retention
* Provide nursing care to patients with acute medical conditions
* Actively assign nursing personnel, serve as a resource person and consultant.
* Implement company standards of care, policies, and procedures
* Ensure all regulatory requirements are met
* Create and implement schedule for safe staffing
* Work collaboratively with hospital leadership and other departments in order to achieve the best patient outcomes
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
* BSN required
* MSN or equivalent Masters in Healthcare or enrollment in a Masters program required
* 1 year of inpatient rehabilitation hospital experience required
* Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required
* 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience required.
* 3 or more yeas of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity required
* Certified BLS completed on date of hire required
* ACLS required within 6 months of hire
Preferred Experience
* Three of these years of RN experience in rehabilitation nursing preferred
* CRRN required when eligible.
