X-Ray/Mammogram Technician Job Opening in California

X-Ray/Mammogram Technician job opening located in the Salinas area of California.

We are helping a Women’s Clinic in the Salinas, CA market who is looking for an X-Ray/Mammogram Technician for a full time job opportunity. 

This position is great due to it’s working flexibility; 2 days on as an X-Ray Tech and 2 days on as a Mammo tech with one day for Admin work. 
M-F day shift, 40 hrs a week. 

About the Role:

As an X-Ray/Mammogram Technician, they will play a crucial role in the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. Their primary responsibility will be to perform mammograms and X-rays on patients, ensuring accurate and high-quality images. By doing so, they will contribute to the overall healthcare team’s efforts in providing timely and effective treatment to patients. Their attention to detail and technical expertise will directly impact the lives of individuals by aiding in the early detection of breast cancer, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

    * Valid certification as a Mammography Technician.

    * Experience operating mammography and X-ray equipment.

    * Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

    * Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols and procedures.

    * Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications:

    * Experience working in a hospital or medical imaging center.

    * Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) for image storage and retrieval.

    * Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures.

    * Ability to perform additional diagnostic imaging procedures, such as ultrasounds or bone densitometry.

    * Continuing education and professional development in the field of mammography.

Responsibilities:

    * Perform mammograms and X-rays on patients using specialized equipment and techniques.

    * Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, providing clear instructions and answering any questions or concerns.

    * Review and analyze images to ensure they meet quality standards and accurately capture the necessary diagnostic information.

    * Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss and interpret imaging results.
