We are helping a Southern California Hospital who’s looking for an Admissions Director to join their team. Would you be interested in exploring or does anyone in your network come to mind?

120+bed acute care hospital. One Manager and a Supervisor reporting to role. FTEs: Approximately 25.

Hospital uses Invision for Admissions, and Cerner for the EMR.

 Qualifications:

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:

    * Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in Patient Access/Admissions and hospital billing/collections in an acute care hospital or similar setting required

    * Minimum five years’ leadership experience in related field(s) required, acute care experience preferred

    * Bachelor Degree required

    * Education Courses/seminars related to Admitting in a Healthcare environment preferred

 CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

    * Industry certifications (Certified Revenue Cycle Executive – CRCE, Certified Healthcare Access Manager – CHAM, etc.) preferred

Job Summary:

Director – Admissions

The Director of Admissions responsibilities include: Revenue cycle, charge management, patient accounts management (clean and thorough registration, auditing, charge reconciliation, charge transfer, error corrections, contract review, denials management, and year end process), patient/physician friendly process flow, problem identification, resolution, and education. Responsible over Patient Access to drive the front end process to enhance hospital revenue, collection and performance, clean registration data, and month end. Monitors and evaluates staff performance on all functions in the Admitting Department.
