PICU Nursing Department Manager RN job opening located in the Los Angeles area of Southern California.

PICU Nursing Dept. Manager RN

 This position will manage an 8 bed PICU at Magnet recognized hospital with CCS designation. 

 The Nurse Manager will also cover the Pediatric Unit and as needed.  Work hours are approximately 9am – 5:30pm.

 Job Summary:

Manages the delivery of nursing services and safe patient care within assigned department and across the continuum of care. Manages the delivery of services that add value and are integrated with nursing standards of practice, service priorities and performance/outcome measures, as well as with strategic, business, and organizational goals/objectives.

Qualifications:

Minimum five (5) years of clinical nursing experience relevant to a given position/department required, including three (3) years of management, supervisory or leadership* experience. 

BSN or MSN required,

•CA RN license.

•American Heart Association BLS.

•NRP.

•PALS.

5 years of FT equivalent PICU experience.  At least 3 of these years need to be in a community hospital level II PICU to meet CCS requirement.  Experience must be current or very recent.

Salary up to 200k.
