They serve patients in the greater Central Valley region and are the largest healthcare provider locally.

Overview:

As the Director you would work closely with the CNO, and will be supported by 3 managers who help in all aspects of the operations. The CNO gives her directors autonomy, and they like to be kept in the loop so good communication skills are a must. The CNO is servant leader who sees her role as providing you the resources you need to be successful. The CNO has been with the organization for 10 years now and 4 years as the CNO. As the Director you are essentially the end all be all of all things in the ED, they run 72 beds, 90k+ visits, 220 FTE and need someone with experience implementing change and then monitoring that change to make sure it sticks. This summer they are working on moving to a supervisor model so that each of the 3 managers will have 2 supervisors who report to them and have the 24/7 accountability as they currently have a charge nurse model.

A successful candidate will have:

Ability to form strong relationships with staff and physicians.

Strong attention to detail.

Quality – history of strong quality measures.

RN/BSN Required.

MSN preferred.

5+ years in ED nursing and leadership experience.

Experience in a high volume ED preferred, level 3 trauma.
