Reports directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities: The CFO will oversee all financial aspects of the hospital, including budgeting, financial reporting, revenue cycle management, and expense control. This involves developing and implementing financial growth strategies, collaborating with the executive team and board of directors, and managing a team of financial professionals. A key focus will be on optimizing the revenue cycle and improving expense management.
Key Qualifications and Skills: The successful candidate will have a proven track record in financial management, ideally within a healthcare setting. Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, revenue cycle management, and expense control is essential.
Strong leadership and communication skills are crucial, as the CFO will manage a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Proficiency with financial software.
Team and Reporting Structure: The CFO will lead a team of four direct reports: the Controller, Materials Director, Patient Financial Services Director, and Facilities Director. The structure may evolve with the upcoming onboarding of a new Chief Information Officer (CIO). The CFO will work closely with other executive team members and report directly to the CEO.
Key Priorities in the First Six Months: The initial focus will be on gaining a comprehensive understanding of the hospital’s financial position, identifying opportunities for improvement in expense management and revenue cycle performance, and building strong relationships with the team and key stakeholders. The CFO will also contribute to the development and implementation of the hospital’s long-term financial strategy.
Compensation and Benefits: Will offer a competitive total compensation package which includes a base salary and a 15% performance incentive. A comprehensive benefits package is also included.
Looking to hire by mid-April.
