Director of Surgical Service job opening located in Iowa.
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Surgical Services a health system in Iowa. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation and strategic growth of the Surgical Services department. The Director will be at the forefront of innovation, quality improvement, and patient-centered care, working closely with the senior administrative team to develop and implement new programs, identify growth opportunities, and set high standards in quality, talent management, service, and fiscal accountability.
The Director of Surgical Services will lead the strategic planning and business development of the department, oversee daily operations to ensure quality patient care, build strong relationships with physician partners, manage financial budgets, and implement quality improvement initiatives. This role also includes recruiting and developing staff, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, all while driving the department’s growth and innovation.
Requirements:
BSN required; a master’s degree in a related field (MBA or MHA), preferred. 5-7 years of experience with at least 3 years as a nurse manager.
