Requirements:

1. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, MS in nursing or Master degree in related field preferred.
2. Five years’ experience in healthcare Risk Management.
3. Five years clinical or healthcare experience preferred.
4. Seven years of professional experience that demonstrates a progressive leadership background.
5. Interview skills and experience in incident investigation.
6. Demonstrates high level of organization skills.
7. Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.
8. Ability to perform statistical analysis on data collected via risk management reporting.

Demonstrates leadership and participation in the provision of departmental reports and patient safety initiatives. This includes reporting to various risk reduction teams, the CEO, Medical Staff Office, and Corporate Risk. Responds to department needs with the ability to prioritize and direct departmental processes and activities. Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills is preparing claim files on potential and actual claims. Demonstrates appropriate leadership skills in planning, organizing, and coordinating risk activities in relation to the organization’s mission, vision, strategic goals, and values, and in accordance with JCAHO’s leadership standards.
