Nurse Manager, Acute Care, job opening located in Kansas.
A good sized critical access hospital in Kansas has an opportunity for a Acute Care Nurse Manager. Reporting to the CNO, the Nurse Manager will oversee Med/Surg, ED, OB and Outpatient services. The Nurse Manager works in conjunction with the OB Coordinator and Charge Nurses as many of the staff nurses work in multiple areas. The Nurse Manager will technically be their direct supervisor, but often the work is actually directed by someone else. The ideal candidate is an RN (BSN preferred) with prior leadership experience. Will need to have current hands on patient care skills. While this role is not on the schedule, they will have to step in to cover a shift if someone is ill or in crunch times.
