Director of Surgical Services Job Opening in Southern California

Director of Surgical Services job opening located in Southern California approximately 55 miles from Los Angeles.

Need experienced DSS!
Competitive salary range (200k+) plus relocation assistance.

The role of Director of Surgical Services leads the perioperative team by focusing on safe patient care while effectively managing operations. The Director Surgical Services has 24/7 responsibility for their departments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation required.
Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.
Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred.

Hospital needs a very strong, experienced candidate, who can come in and take control of the OR ,its staff and hold everyone accountable.

14 ORs in main hospital & across street have 3 ORs  They need someone that has lot of OR Director experience!

·         Level 1 trauma, open heart, no transplant 

·         Joint commission will be there next year or 2025, had CMS there earlier this year

·         3 managers total reporting to DSS

·         FTE’s – 100 FTE’s ballpark

·         Need previous director experience

·         Last Director had to move to East Coast for family reasons; she was doing well in the role
