Director of HIM job opening located in rural Minnesota.
Reports to the CEO. Looking for a strong CODER for this role.
Must be RHIT or RHIA- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Record Administration, Business, Healthcare, or related field. Minimum of three years of HIM experience including competency with computer systems, and must have EPIC experience, as well as come from a hospital setting background.
Team of 7 FTE’s, 4 Coders and 3 Clerical doing all types of coding. Role leads and engages this 6-8 person staff of various roles and responsibilities. Director manages the operation of the HIM department ensuring that all functions are completed in accordance with the philosophy and goals of the Medical Center, and are within the requirements of all regulatory groups, external accrediting agencies and licensing bodies. Serves as the Privacy Officer.
