Position Overview:

The Director of Inpatient Pharmacy and Compliance is responsible for the management of the inpatient staff including Clinical Pharmacists, Staff Pharmacists, Technicians and Clerks. Operational responsibilities include compliance with regulatory boards, BOP, FDA, DEA, DNV pharmacy regulations and best practices. Organizational responsibilities include program oversight/development and committee work. This includes staff development, P&T, MERP, ASP, diversion oversight and expansion of clinical services.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the inpatient pharmacy staff including Clinical Pharmacists, Staff Pharmacists (including leads), Interns, Diversion Specialist, Technicians (including leads) and Clerks. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications
Required:
Master’s Degree
Current CA Pharmacist License
Five (5) years pharmacy experience
Two (2) years of managerial experience
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both orally and in writing, and ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to senior management and several customer levels

Preferred:
PharmD
Chemotherapy Infusion experience
Epic experience
