Director of Safety and Risk Management job opening located in West Palm Beach, Florida area.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Safety and Risk Management will have the authority and responsibility to develop, implement and monitor the hospital’s Patient Safety Plan. He/she will administer, manage and coordinate the activities of the Hospital Risk Management Program

Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications

• Florida Licensed Healthcare Risk Manager 

Minimum Experience

• Patient Safety Management and Risk Management experience and/or related experience
• Agency for Healthcare Association (AHCA) guidelines for reporting and inspection due to Risk Management (Code 15) or facilities issues.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards relating to patient safety and identification of Sentinel Events
• Report writing
• Data interpretation skills
• Basic computer operation; word processing & spread sheets
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of risk avoidance & risk control techniques
