Infusion & Oncology Clinic Manager job opening located in Southern California.

Job Description

• The Manager is responsible for supervising staff and is accountable for day-to-day operations for the oncology infusion center and clinic. 
• Responsible for managing all assigned clinic and infusion staff, developing and implementing policies, processes, and procedures to improve financial performance, patient/clinic workflow and patient experience, attainment of departmental financial and productivity goals and administration of assigned budgets. 
• He/she is responsible for coordinating staff schedules and staff assignments and participating in the performance appraisal process. 
• The manager assesses routine daily operations and initiates appropriate actions in order to maintain and improve services and patient care. 
• He/she promotes cooperative working relationships with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for advancement of institutional and network goals. 
• Demonstrates clinical competency and problem-solving skills, creating an environment which supports high-quality, cost-conscious, and comprehensive patient centered care. 
• This includes patient examination, development and administration of a treatment plan, documentation and communication with physicians and other referral sources and clinical guidance to licensed and non-licensed personnel. 
• He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner consistent with the standard of care. Facilitates quality outcomes of patient care and provides leadership in the practice environment. Provides patient care as needed.

• They are looking for someone more of a supervisor or even a charge that is looking for a step up.
• They want someone that has clinical knowledge but managerial experience.

• You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and report it to the corp director
• You must have the ability to speak to doctors and have expertise in chemo/oncology. 
• Does not have to be an RN

They have 3 hospitals in their system, they have moved a lot to outpatient; ambulatory, outpatient surgery, infusion, clinics etc. They are very financially strong; one of the few hospitals well prepared for 2024.

This job needs someone clinically strong that can speak to docs but that has management experience. 
It is the perfect step up for a Sup or Charge even. 

Also, someone who has done the following: 

• Pharmaceutical but nurse background Knowledge of infusions and medications 
• Anyone who has worked at any type of oncology clinic, if a lead nurse in a clinic, that person can be fine
• Someone who has worked as a charge nurse in an infusion center

What is needed by this person: 

• This person needs to be there every day, day in and day out and can assist operationally and can build relationships with physicians and staff
• Someone who looks for safety with patients and safety with staff 
• Willing to be able to stand up to a physician regarding safety issue from staff and patient perspective.
